Upcoming i-act Mental Health Training Sessions
All Staff are invited to book a place on one of our upcoming i-act Courses to improve their awareness of mental health and wellbeing. The i-act training course is written and accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatry and is delivered by qualified, experienced trainers.
The i鈥慳ct model focuses on common mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, and also addresses how we might improve wellbeing in order to build resilience. The i鈥慳ct course gives practical guidance and tools for how we might improve our own mental health and wellbeing and support others who may have a mental health or wellbeing issue. It informs participants as to what they need to know and offers tools for addressing and improving mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Staff who have previously attended the courses have commented:
鈥淭he trainers facilitated a supportive, encouraging, and open atmosphere.鈥
鈥淚 particularly liked the way that session involved moving around the room and working with different people.鈥
鈥淭he signposting to guidance and self-assessment questionnaires/tools was useful.鈥
There are now two different i-act courses available on ESS:
-
Understanding Mental Health & Wellbeing 鈥 open to all staff
-
Managing for Mental Health & Wellbeing - open to line managers, senior / departmental leaders, PhD supervisors and staff wellbeing champions.鈥
